Bio

Since Dr. Molly Miller picked up a guitar at age seven, she’s been captivating audiences with her sophisticated and raw style. Now 28, Miller is the chair of the Guitar Department at Los Angeles College of Music. She’s one of Los Angeles’s most sought-after musicians, recording and touring with artists such as Jason Mraz and The Black Eyed Peas. She’s played for thousands at the Hollywood Bowl, Telluride Music Festival, and Planeta Atlantida. When she’s not on tour, Miller heads her own trio, featured on NPR’s Fresh Air.

Her debut album, The Shabby Road Recordings, released July 2017 includes the all-star rhythm section of Jay Bellerose (B.B. King, Elton John, Bonnie Raitt) and Jennifer Condos (Bruce Springsteen, Sheryl Crow, Stevie Nicks).

Education

After completing her doctorate at the University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music, Dr. Molly Miller became Guitar Department Chair at Los Angeles College of Music. She has developed curriculum for college conservatories, as well as after-school programs for students K-12. As an advocate for female musicians, she single-handedly created All Girls Rock N’ Roll Camp. She travels all over the country teaching master classes, workshops, and her interactive concert Pioneering Women of The Guitar.
